This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the Level 2 badge in Gardening.
As part of your Level 1 badge you created a composting system. For this BB you will harvest compost and make use of it in the garden.
To complete this BB, the minimum requirements are:
- Harvest mature compost, preferably from your own composting system but if not available, from someone else’s system
- Apply appropriate amounts of the compost to your growing area. No need to dig it in, soil creatures will do that for you.
To document your completion of the BB, provide the following:
- Photos of the compost being harvested
- Close-up photos of the compost showing that it’s mature and contains soil creatures
- Photos of the compost applied to your growing area(s)
