This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the Level 1 badge in Gardening.
Growing mushrooms in your garden helps to break down mulch, fertilize the soil, and provides edible mushrooms as well.
To complete this BB, the minimum requirements are:
- Research possible mushrooms that could grow in your conditions, and where to get them
- Source spawn for your chosen mushrooms
- Inoculate at least one growing area with spawn
- Harvest a crop of mushrooms
To document your completion of the BB, provide the following:
- List of mushrooms you researched, and reasons for your choice.
- Photo of mushroom spawn and growing area that you will inoculate with it
- Photo of resulting mushrooms growing in that growing area
